We are a manufacturer of sand cast lead and retailer of milled lead and associated goods. Very much a family run business which has grown to be able accomodate the biggest contracts out there whilst maintaining that personal touch and happily supplying just one roll if that's what's required! Services
As the name would suggest, Sand Cast Lead UK Ltd.'s main product is created by pouring molten lead onto a bed of sand. It's been done this way for hundreds of years and if you ever visit our factory it's like stepping back in time. We have managed to maintain the traditional way of manufacturing despite all of the technological process that has gone on around us.
We are proud to be associated with some of the finest historical buildings that you can find in the UK. There is hardly a town or city within our beautiful island that doesn't have a building containing lead produced by Sand Cast Lead UK Ltd. Sometimes the building is a behemoth with massive historical importance such as Lincoln Cathedral.
Along with our sand cast lead we also offer a range of other products and services. These range from ancilliary goods to aid the laying and fixing of all forms of lead to the manufacture and repair of rainwater goods such as hoppers and downpipes. In our factory we can also produce bespoke lead mouldings for a variety of industries including Military, Marine, Lift Installation and Nuclear along with many forms of ballast for ships and boats.
On a lot of occassions a good percentage of the lead we use comes from the same job that we are supplying to i.e. Ideally, we would prefer to miss out the 'middle man' and buy the scrap directly. This results in a lower price for the end user and a more convenient, efficient and lucrative deal for the person selling the scrap.
