Recently used RKS Roofing for a full re-roof of a large detached slate roof - involved new insulation layer, re-use of slates and additional reclaimed slates where required and all pointing, flashing and woodwork repaired or replaced. Richard was excellent from start to finish. Materials were acquired in advance, which avoided some of the recent price hikes.

He was continually in touch prior to job commencing to update on likely start dates. The biggest asset was that his communication throughout was great - always updating us on how the job was progressing, anything that might impact on costs or timescales, explaining what was involved at each stage etc. The original quote was reasonable and the job was done thoroughly.

Despite various unavoidable delays during the project, we never felt that time was being caught up by rushing or skimping on quality. Would not hesitate to recommend Richard and RKS Roofing and would use again.

RKS - they're the tops. I have used Richard and his team at RKS several times (from an urgent repair to a complete re-roofing, and insulation installation as well) over the last few years and can only say that they are unbeatable. Not only are they excellent workmen who do a brilliant job, but they are prompt, turn up when they say they will, friendly, courteous and reliable. Richard keeps in touch with you at every stage, and follows up after the job is finished too, which is a big bonus. The prices he charged us were very reasonable - but he didn't skimp on labour or materials. And, he and his team are such lovely people to deal with. I recommend them 100%.

We used RKS a few times. Richard and team last year came to replace the roof on a property we moved into, the existing roof was in a terrible state of repair. They did an amazing job, everything was up to a great quality, even our builder was very impressed with the end result. Richard has also been a great help to us for our rental property, replacing and repairing the loose roof tiles and most recently stopping a vibrating down pipe for us. Richard is extremely responsive and helpful and honest.

We will need to replace the roof on our rental in the next few years and will 100% use RKS, we wouldn't look to anyone else after the great service and quality. Also great price! Thank you Richard and team

Brilliant service! Richard and his team worked on reroofing our slate roof. Very neat work, responsive to questions and nothing was too much for them! Took the time to talk us through everything. Have recommended to many people as we were so pleased with the end result. It is hard to find reliable genuine workmen, and I am really glad that we found RKS. Will be using for any future work.

Rich is now the only roofer I will use, having used other companies before his. He's honest and knowledgeable. I have an old 19th century house and Rich and his team know how to work with it. His team work hard when on site and are respectful. No other company has come close. There are not many construction companies I could give 5 stars to, RKS is an exception.

We've recently had our roof fully re-done, and I was extremely impressed with the way the work was undertaken and completed. There were a number of complications to the work - not least the gable end of our roof being 4 inches out of square! - but these were professionally overcome with no compromises on the quality of the workmanship. Communication was excellent throughout the whole job, with all queries and questions promptly responded to. I can not recommend RKS Roofing Contractors highly enough.

We have used Richard and his team a couple of times now for roof repairs and would not look at another company. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. The team is very hard working when on site and Richard keeps you constantly updated with photos of the work being performed. Richard and his team are very popular and you may have to wait a while for the work but we'd far rather wait than chance our arm with a different company.

Richard and team were fantastic, they installed a solar tube into our hallway. The quality of the installation is excellent, all the work carried out to the highest standard. Customer service was fantastic throughout the whole experience, from quotation to installation. I would recommend them and I would certainly use them again.

They really went above and beyond to get our complete workshop roof replaced quickly and professionally whilst at the same time making every effort to keep my elderly and vulnerable grandparent safe during the pandemic.

We would definitely recommend this business to anybody. Richard and his team were trustworthy, punctual, professional, friendly and the price was very reasonable. Even though Richard was very busy/fully booked up, he still managed to fit us in between bigger jobs, and sorted us out very quickly. The customer service was first class. Richard is a first-class roofer; knowledgeable, dependable and competitive. We have a Grade II* listed manor house, the roof of which is neither cheap nor easy to maintain. Richard works with sensitivity and care and his small team share his dedication and interest. They are a joy to have around. And they charge a fraction of the competition for scaffolding!
