The GRP or fibreglass flat roof is one of the most widely used systems in the UK and is found not only on large commercial buildings but smaller domestic properties as well. It is highly popular because it is easy to lay, requires no heat, comes at a competitive cost and lasts for a long time. Whether you want to replace an existing flat roof or build an entirely new one, understanding how a GRP flat roof works is important.
On flat roof areas subject to occasional maintenance foot traffic, an aggregate or anti-slip finish can be applied to minimise the risk of a slip or fall. The Topseal system comprises of a waterproofing laminate consisting of 450g/m2 Topseal Roofing Grade Reinforcement Mat saturated with Topseal Roofing Resin.

We used a Topseal approved installer for our garage roof but they used a gutter that was not Topseal approved. At one point they persuaded the installer to replace the gutter and "retrained" them. The installer later refused to do the replacement, so we can't get a Topseal guarantee. Topseal say they can't be responsible for their approved roofers work and can't take them off their approved list now, as they retrained them. Update after Response from the Owner: I wasn't aware of any solutions that were offered by Topseal to rectify this issue once the installer said they wouldn't replace the gutter, so I emailed them (just over a week ago) to ask what these solutions were.
They haven't replied. I left my review after it was clear the issue would not be resolved. Their implication that the reason this didn't happen was because I didn't wish to engage with them makes me even more dissatisfied.

Had their fibreglass roof installed just few months ago. It's great quality and reasonable price. In fact it's cheaper than a couple of quotes from local traders we received because the individual builders would try to take advantage if they feel you don't have much knowledge about the roof system. I also received follow up phone calls from the head office to make sure their approved contractor has done everything right. Would use them again if we come across flat roof again.
